What's the difference between
pre-cut and pre-fab shed kits?
A good question! In the world of
shed
kits, there are two basic varieties: pre-cut
and pre-fab.
Pre-cut kits for garden
sheds and outdoor sheds come with
materials that are pre-drilled and pre-cut but not
pre-assembled. You assemble the components, such as
the floor, frame, roof and door.
These shed kits can easily be built in a weekend and
require some basic power tools. Not all pre-cut shed kits
include hardware (such as nails, screws, fasteners,
and hinges), so check before you buy or when
comparing prices. Wood finishing products, such as paint
or stain, are usually extra.
Pre-fab (pre-fabricated)
kits for garden sheds are the easiest kits to
assemble. These shed kits come with all components
constructed and ready to erect on you site. The
walls, doors, flooring, siding, roofing materials,
and even the nails and hardware may be included.
With minimal construction experience, and some basic
power tools, pre-fab shed kits can often be completed in
a day. |
