Gorgeous copper trellis’ and arbors make an elegant design feature for the garden.

Copper trellis’ and garden arbors make an elegant and graceful feature in any garden. There’s a wide range of beautifully designed copper trellis’ and arbors in a wonderful variety of sizes, shapes and styles. Whether you desire an elegant English country garden look or a uniquely styled contemporary sculpture, you’ll find plenty of inspiration if you do a little searching around online or at your local landscaping or garden supplies store. Copper trellis’ and arbors are designed to support delicate roses and other climbing plants, to create a magnificent vertical flower garden. You can place the trellis against a fence or wall to turn a dull empty space into an elegant garden design feature.

Installing copper trellis’ and arbors.

One of the great attractions of copper trellis’ and arbors is that they’re so easy to install. You can buy them as kits, which contain everything you need to set them up, including all the necessary mounting brackets, and you won’t normally need any additional tools. The copper tubing is very light and easy to handle, and it’s maintenance free for life once the trellis has been installed. In fact, the material is very similar to copper piping used for plumbing, so it’s exceptionally durable and rust resistant.

Setting a suitable foundation is naturally very important, and you should keep in mind the eventual weight of the plant the trellis or arbor will need to support when installing the structure. Trellis kits normally include foundation posts, which you need to bury in three feet deep post holes with a few inches of gravel at the bottom for stability and drainage. Larger arbors may require concrete reinforcement in the post holes, so you may need a few carpentry skills to set the structure in a strong, vertical position over the foundation.
