Fantastic outdoor
storage sheds have an endless variety of uses.
Outdoor storage sheds are very simple to
build, and they’re amazingly useful. You can use a
small outdoor storage shed to store anything from
the kids’ bikes and skateboards to gardening
equipment and tools. Larger garden storage sheds can
be used as a playhouse for the kids or even a spare
bedroom. If you’re reasonably handy with a hammer
and nails and you have a few helpers on hand, you
could easily build a fantastic new storage shed in a
weekend or so.
If you’re a complete DIY novice and you don’t have
the confidence to build a structure from scratch, or
you’re short on time, there are outdoor shed kits
which you simply assemble from the pre-cut and
drilled components. Just follow the links from this
site for information on where to buy storage

Choosing a material for your
outdoor shed.
The cladding material you choose for your storage
shed will determine the look of the shed, the cost,
and very importantly, the amount of maintenance the
shed will require in the long term to keep it looking
great.
For many people, you can’t go past natural timbers
like western red cedar or pine, just because they look
so fantastic. Of course, natural timber will cost a
little more, and you’ll need to be prepared to re-stain
it regularly to protect it from weathering.
Wood composite materials are manufactured from
natural wood fibers combined with a high tech plastic
resin, so they look almost the same as natural timber,
but they’re much more resistant to weathering and
rotting, they don’t splinter, and they never need
repainting. A shed made from wood composite material
will also be significantly more economical than a
natural timber storage shed.
The most economical alternative is synthetic PVC
vinyl. Vinyl sheds are extremely durable, need
virtually no maintenance, and they look great.
